Dog Treat Recipe - Terrier Tea Cakes

2 1/2 cups cornmeal
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2/3 cup molasses
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup apple sauce
1 1/3 cups water
1/2 cup oats

Mix together cornmeal, wheat flour, baking powder, and spices.
In a separate bowl, combine molasses, applesauce, and water.
Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir till blended.
Scoop into lined muffin pans with an ice cream scoop.
Sprinkle the tops with oats.
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.

To help with Doggy travel sickness- Give your Toy Breed 1/2 teaspoon children's Benadryl

If you have a dog with light seizers, You may try feeding them 1/2 a hotdog every day.

For bathing your puppy, we like to use "Suave for Kids" Orange Splash. It is tear free and has light conditioners also. The Orange leaves a soft pleasing smell that lasts for days

If you are nervous about trimming your puppy's toenails, we suggest using a metal nail file to rasp the tips off instead. You need to hold firm to each toe. It is helpful to have another person hold the puppy and offer them a dab of peanut butter on their finger to keep the puppy busy and make the experience more pleasant.
